Summer!!!

 

It’s summer break! Mommy was able to get to Astrid early! We ran together early then went to the Y for a swim. It was absolutely wonderful and she was so happy when we stepped into the pool. 

On another note…Astrid has two top molars coming in which explains her fussiness a bit and she’s waving to people like crazy. She waved to the lifeguard and she waved like gray to a passing car while she was standing in grammie’s driveway. It was the cutest thing ever!!

Last Day of School

 No pictures of sweet Astrid. Just beautiful donuts. From Peterson’s of course. 

I Want It

Mommy swears she heard Astrid say I Want it when mommy took her Lei away. Maybe? Maybe daddy shouldn’t let Astrid dance on tables? Maybe? 

Last day of school tomorrow!

 

Blank

Mommy’s mind is blank sometimes when she gets home. She didn’t take a picture of Astrid. She did take a picture of our broken eggs from Our Target drive up order, 5th graders having fun auctioning off junk…the leader in the front is having fun using the classroom microphone, and a pic of mommy’s furniture. We’re getting new modern furniture over the summer and we’ll be saying goodbye to these desks and chairs. Mommy will sort of miss them. 

Astrid had a good day and mommy should be less blank mind tomorrow as soon as 5th grade promotion is over! 

 

Mine- I want that

Astrid had new dance moves tonight..they were funny front leg kicks and a crouch down to the ground move. She also had some words. She for sure said “mine” when Claire took her sippy cup and snack trapper to be left at grammies. Later at home she looked at mommy’s necklace and mommy swears Astrid said, “ I want that.” Uh oh…

Tunnel Play

Astrid had a fun day playing at home..inside and outside. She especially liked when her daddy put the tunnel over her head. It was a nice, relaxing, productive day. 

 

Run Hard Love Hard

This morning we ran the Run Hard Love Hard 5k at Mission  Bay. We had a lot of fun! Mommy tried out her new but very used Bob stroller. We won first overall. Mommy ran hard. Astrid enjoyed playing with Maddie and later we just chilled at home. Mommy is still figuring out her balance with running hard and being an older mom. She’s definitely feeling it!

Holding Hands

Astrid loves her Grammie and she loves holding hands when she’s walking next to people she loves. Please don’t let this end. 

 

Around the Corner

Astrid comes around the corner whenever she hears the front door at Grammie and Grandpa’s open. She greets me in the hallway. Mommy gets the best smiles ever! Today some tears too…because she fell on that blue contraption in her arms and hurt her mouth. But still the around the corner greeting is the best! 

 

Funday

 Wednesdays can be fundays! Astrid is always happy in the morning and has an awesome routine with everyone in the house. She loves driving with daddy to see grammie! She fell fast asleep in her new comfy stroller…at the end of our run. Then before heading home we ordered donuts for mommy’s students’ last day.  It was a good day!
