Family

Astrid loves all her family. She gives lots of hugs, waves goodbye, is finally blowing kisses, and loves her toys she got from family members. She had a good day and got to go to the park with her cousins. She was pretty tired tonight!

Voles

Astrid had a good day with Grammie. When we were outside a vole came back to Grammies driveway and gave Grammie a fright. Mommy hasn’t heard Grammie scream like that since the morning a mouse came flying out of one of our backpacks when mommy was in maybe 2nd grade. Mommy still remembers Grammie sitting up on the ledge by the front door. It will be ok Grammie. It is probably dying. Mommy and daddy covered it with a box. Daddy will take care of it in the morning if it’s still living.

We came home to open presents and clean a little Astrid loves all her gifts. A true birthday post is still in the works. Mommy will write once she gets some sleep! 

 

Monday

Back to work, back to Grammies. It was a really good day but we are tired! Mommy will put more pics from  the party as soon as she collects more pictures.

1st Birthday Party

Astrid had a wonderful first birthday party. She loved seeing all her family, friends, and neighbors. We love our little miss so much and love watching her grow and learn. This first year has been wonderful and we look forward to this coming year so much.

Party Prep

It was a long day of party prep. We’re still not ready but mommy needs to go to sleep. Oliver has a youth fishing tournament and needs to be at his friends house at 4 am. Mommy can do it… that’s the mantra… 

 

Happy 1st Birthday

Happy birthday beautiful! Astrid Jane is one year old! She had  a mellow birthday. She was asleep on Grammie in the afternoon and fell asleep again while on our beautiful sunny run. Mommy heard that Claire called Astrid on FaceTime and sang happy birthday to her. Astrid awoke to the happy birthday song in the morning. It seems like this year went by really fast. Our little miss is already one and so much fun!

Birthday Eve

Astrid’s turning one tomorrow! She woke up with two new top teeth and her walking game was stronger than ever. She’s such a joy and we love her so much! 

 

Loved

Astrid is so loved. She also loves her cousin Claire so much. Astrid ran after her today, walked with her, and blew her first kisses to … you guessed it,,,, Claire! 

 

Happy Girl

Astrid was a happy girl eating her snack when mommy came to pick her up. She continued to be happy, playful and productive at home. 

 

Walking

Little Walker…she’s walking everywhere! She walked to the window as Oliver and Mommy came home from jj. We stood in the Winfield and watched her walk toward us. She’s just the cutest! 

 

Driving

Astrid did a lot of driving today. She drove with us the the Loflen’s for a family get together. She drove in Claire’s remote control American Girl car, and she drove with her brother in a miniature Jeep that Auntie Jess handed down to us. It was a busy day of driving and hanging with her family!
