Five

Astrid can’t believe she’s five! She asked if she was really five today! So cute. These are pictures from dinner last night and also when we released the painted lady butterflies we’ve been observing. It was a special birthday and Astrid is a special girl. 

 

 

 

Happy 5th Birthday

 Happy 5th birthday to Astrid!! Muffins at school, birthday at home and Grammies. Fun at Chuck e Cheese. She has the idea to lay on her beloved baby blanket. So cute! Happy birthday sweet 5 year old! 

Birthday Eve

Astrid had a good day at school, with Grammie, at the movies with Grammie, grandpa and Shane. She enjoyed wearing her roller skates that Aunt Jess and the family got her. Mommy didn’t get a picture but she sure got kicked by the skates a few times! Astrid is excited about her birthday! 

Haircut

Astrid had a great day! Tonight mommy was brushing Astrid’s hair back and she noticed a strand her was shorter than the others. Mommy asked her if she cut her hair and there was complete silence. She admitted after a minute but claims she doesn’t remember when… it was probably on Saturday when we were using scissors for a craft. Astrid!!

 

Saturday Strides

 We got to go to strides on Saturday. We had a lot of fun and a good hot workout. We went to the fleet center and the NAT after. We’re soaking up our last strides over the next few months. We’ll end our fun routine once Astrid starts kindergarten…mommy would like to get her into a sport, hopefully soccer! Enjoy the birthday song..we brought cookies to share! 

Productive

Mommy had a productive day with running, working on the state testing, resting a little and lots of chores. Astrid had a productive day in play. At home, at the beach with daddy, at the playground with Oliver. It was a nice Sunday. This picture of George popped up in mommy’s facebook feed. Mommy is still missing him so much. He was such a good, sweet, smart guy. 

 

Friday

 Ice in our neighborhood on mommy’s run, a view of Andrea’s home finally making some progress and two dance classes for Astrid. She’s loving dance and the friends she makes there. 

Grouchy

 Astrid was a bit of a grouch when we got home today. She was hungry which makes her a bit angry and she was sort of upset shr couldn’t go to dance and see Lilliana. Mommy is doing a cool extra job through the California department of education scoring science test responses. She’s got to work on it for the next five days and she had to attend a meeting until 5 so we had to skip dance…she’ll do a makeup tomorrow but she was a little upset. Mommy is glad she enjoys dance and her friends!!

Play

Astrid had a good day at school and with Grammie. She enjoyed playing at home and then playing with Oliver. They play pretty rough sometimes, it’s pretty funny! 

Leprechaun

A leprechaun came to Astrid’s classroom today and messed it up! A leprechaun came to our home and messed up her already messy room!! She couldn’t stop talking about leprechauns today! So fun! Doesn’t her brother look like a leprechaun!! So lucky!! We were also lucky to see the goats come back to eat the grass off citracado. They were there at the beginning of the summer! 

Routine

 Back to our regular routine! Astrid slept a total of 13 hours yesterday and we had to wake her up this morning! She didn’t sleep at nap which makes sense but she had a great time with Grammie.She was happy to be back home and with her friends!
