First Day of Kindergarten

Astrid had a wonderful first day of kindergarten! She got ready to say, ate breakfast at Grammies, walked to school with the three of us and went into her new classroom confidently. Mommy told her to be brave and confident and she shook her head yes and hugged mommy. It was a bittersweet day…. Mommy loves Astrid so much! 

The Night Before Kindergarten

Astrid had a good day with Grammie! When mommy picked her up, Uncle Matthew came to show his cool Tesla and grandpa got a ride. It’s really really nice inside!!

Astrid went and tried a jazz class at dance. We’re waiting to hear if she got in the class because it’s for 6 and older. She loves it though! Now she’s going to sleep.. we put the confetti

Under her pillow and read the poem her teacher sent with her. It’s going to be a great first day of kindergarten tomorrow!!

 

 

Slow Sunday

We had an easy, slow Sunday. Astrid rested, played spa/hotel, watched TV, helped bake brownies, did chores- both of us and took a break to go get her haircut! She got about 4 inches off and it’s layered now! She loved getting her hair washed and cut— it looks super cute!! 

 

Kinder Orientation

 Astrid had her kindergarten orientation on Friday. We learned all about LCH and her classroom. Daddy, Grammie and mommy went as well as Astrid. We’re excited for new beginnings!!

Rodeo & Swim

We went to a kids rodeo event in Lakeside on Saturday. We watched Maddie and Ellie’s cousin rope a goat. After we all went swimming at their Aunt Maddie’s. Astrid is officially a swimmer… she jumps in swims wherever she wants… it’s great! This was definitely the summer of swimming for her!!

Grammie

 It’s back to work, back to Grammies, back to the Y gymnastics! Blogger is still not uploading pictures, mommy may need to find a new platform… this is getting annoying. Astrid had a good day and is anticipating kindergarten! Five more days!! 

Spa and Fleet Center

We had a great last stroller strides and fun time at  the fleet science center with Lowell and Juliet. We came home in the late afternoon for a nice spa evening. We took a couple pictures today but blogspot isn’t allowing mommy to upload them the past couple days. 

Summer Days

We had a great stroller strides at Tidelands park on Coronado. We made it a summer adventure and found a couple cute thrift stores afterwards. It was super fun and Astrid purchased a few items to use at her spa!  At home we played and did lots of chores. In the evening the neighbors came over and then we lost the kittens for about 2 hours. They ended up buried under stuffies in the drawer under Astrids bed! Mommy is going to sleep well after worrying and searching for so long.

Catch Up

Mommy has been working on painting the picket fence the last 3 days… she finished Sunday after 4 hours! But probably worked on it for 12 hours over 3 days. It was intense!! So mommy has felt a little exhausted at night and behind on the blog. We had a great stroller strides on Saturday..our last Saturday strides. We’re using up our last 3 credits this week. A beautiful experience has come to an end. Mommy had a race before strides, we had a nice day at home Sunday and today we went to a strides and a new thrift store. Now Astrid is giving mommy a spa evening. Mommy doesn’t feel great. Putting the phone away and going to enjoy the massage!
