Busy

Astrid is a busy girl. Kindergarten. Grammie. Dance… she wanted her picture in front of this sign in the changing room, reading her first homework book and building a medical trolley with daddy. Pictures are finally uploading!! Yay!

 

Monday

We had a nice day off school and work! We rested, got a lot of chores done and mommy and Astrid went to Temecula to get some really cheap patterns and cross stitch kits. We had a fun little adventure!! Mommy was going to upload prek and kinder art but blogspot isn’t being friendly again. Maybe she can update everything tomorrow. 

Sunday

We spent the day at home. Mommy ran a long run early but then felt sort of sick and exhausted the rest of the day. Everything is probably just catching up to her, so we just had a mellow day, Mommy has a cute picture of Astrid in a basket but of course it won’t upload. She’ll try again tomorrow. 

Grape Day

We all had a great day. Mommy ran her favorite hometown 5k, saw lots of friends, placed first for the first time in awhile at this race… the age bracket is too big 40-49 instead of 45-49. Astrid went to a Maddie and Ellie’s with daddy a bit after mommy got home. We did chores and hung out when they got home. It was a nice day!! 

 

After School

Astrid had her first day at the after school program. She’s going to go there on Fridays! She gets out at 12:45 so she’ll get to do fun things with friends at the after school program. She didn’t even notice mommy was there today because she was busy playing with new friends and a boat load of legos! Mommy taught her how to fill up her water bottle at the water fountain and then we were off to Katherine’s to swim for a bit. Astrid sat in her cozy Jammie’s after swimming while mommy and Katherine sat in the jacuzzi. It felt very relaxing after a long week! Astrid was pretty relaxed on the lounger but mommy didn’t get any pictures!

 

Jumper

Astrid had a great day at school and with Grammie! She had a cat nap on the way home and then she went to gymnastics. She loves it!! We’re going to drop dance after this month and do soccer and gymnastics… she’s been working so hard this week we don’t think we can sustain it!! She’s having a lot of fun though!! 

 

Soccer

Astrid had a great day at school and was excited to go to soccer. Mommy has lots of fun stuff to write but she needs to go to bed!!’

Dance

Astrid tried a hip hop class this afternoon. She enjoyed it and liked the girls in her class! School was great! Ms. Nancy was back… Astrid doesn’t like having subs. Oliver was the same way when he was little. 

 

Soccer

Astrid had her first soccer practice. She did a great job and seemed to enjoy it but had a meltdown after in the car. She’ll get used to this type of exercise! 

 

Play Date

We had a good Sunday! Mommy did a long run in the morning and thankfully had no close calls like last weekend. We met Astrid’s prek friend at the ymca pool. It was fun seeing them and swimming. Astrid is such a swimmer now it’s impressive!! 

 

Palomar

Astrid and mommy drove up to Palomar Mountain today to visit an old friend from Washington. She was camping up at the state park and had just dropped off her daughter at Cal State San Marcos. It’s been about 18 years! It was good seeing her and mommy didn’t get any pictures until she was driving out. On the way home we stopped for gas at one of the Indian reservations and discovered a thrifty ice cream stand! We might be back with Oliver. It was a good day.
