Catalina

Mommy has been working hard to get to Catalina, Astrid has been super excited and daddy has been so so- he likes to complain about the hotel a lot… but they’re all quirky here. But we’re here! Astrid is a having fun in the hotel but we’re trying to teach her to be a bit more quiet. There’s mule deer next door in a backyard, mommy thinks the people are trying to help them because they’re all going to be killed on the island. Tomorrow mommy has her marathon and Astrid has a kids fun run. It’s going to be a great day!! 

 

Play

Astrid was running around like crazy with Claire and Shane today when mommy got to Grammies. Astrid had a great full day of learning, play and love. When she got home she screamed her head off at mommy. Fun stuff. She gets really hangry and a little mad if she’s hungry and tired. 

Mommy added a picture of the cottage Grammie had up. We can’t wait to go visit #37 and also are excited for our Catalina trip tomorrow!

Exercise

 Astrid had a good day… daddy picked her up this afternoon and when mommy got home her mat was out with some weights and bands. Daddy said Astrid was exercising. Mommy has her spring health challenge at work, this was a yoga tree pose she did to try and win a gift card but also to just participate in healthy living. Astrid also was busy making slime scissors while mommy was bringing in all the trash cans. Daddy is feeling better but still pretty hurt. 

Hunger

Astrid had a good day. She only had one crazy meltdown when we got home because she was hungry. Mommy is trying to teach her how to recognize when she’s hungry and how it affects her mood. Astrid is getting it but can’t calm herself down sometimes. We’ll keep working on it. This is her last night writing h on eggs to show they’re hard boiled. She loves to help! 

 

Playground

Astrid's had a great day with Grammie and at school. When she got home her brother asked if he could take her to the playground! They’re going to make it a weekly date sort of like their Froyo now that it will be light later.. It was really sweet seeing them together. 

Update on daddy…he’s still hurting really bad. 

Rest Day

 Today we all hung out at home and sort of rested. Oliver went to work but came home to play around 5:30. Mommy exercises, weeded the veggie garden area and did chores inside. Astrid slept in and then played inside for a long time. Daddy sat in his chair all day. He slept and rested. He flew off his bike yesterday pretty bad and definitely broke some ribs, has a sore neck and probably broke his thumb. He won’t go to the ER, so stay tuned. We all went to two parks to play tonight which was a dream for Astrid.

Chucks, Cats & Chores

It was a fun day! Astrid had a birthday party at the Chuck E. Cheese in Oceanside. Then we went for a little walk in downtown Oceanside to get a couple pictures for mommy’s health challenge. Then we came home to do chores! Astrid really just played and then rested. It was a good day but daddy did come home with some possible broken ribs and maybe a punctured lung from a fall on his bike. He should probably go to the host but he doesn’t want to.. yay for us!
