Dance

Astrid tried a hip hop class this afternoon. She enjoyed it and liked the girls in her class! School was great! Ms. Nancy was back… Astrid doesn’t like having subs. Oliver was the same way when he was little. 

 

Soccer

Astrid had her first soccer practice. She did a great job and seemed to enjoy it but had a meltdown after in the car. She’ll get used to this type of exercise! 

 

Play Date

We had a good Sunday! Mommy did a long run in the morning and thankfully had no close calls like last weekend. We met Astrid’s prek friend at the ymca pool. It was fun seeing them and swimming. Astrid is such a swimmer now it’s impressive!! 

 

Palomar

Astrid and mommy drove up to Palomar Mountain today to visit an old friend from Washington. She was camping up at the state park and had just dropped off her daughter at Cal State San Marcos. It’s been about 18 years! It was good seeing her and mommy didn’t get any pictures until she was driving out. On the way home we stopped for gas at one of the Indian reservations and discovered a thrifty ice cream stand! We might be back with Oliver. It was a good day. 

 

Friday Kittens

Our kittens are getting into so much mischief! Abe just watches it all semi amused then wants to escape. Astrid is a little wacky too. Kindergarten is fun but it’s a lot of demands she’s not used too! 

This evening she got to meet her soccer coach at Dick’s Sporting Goods. We’re excited to start practice on Monday! It hopefully will be a fun experience!! 

 

Hot

It continues to be a million degrees around San Diego. Astrid had gymnastics with Roe. It was super hot but they were champs and fealt

Swim

Astrid had a great day at school and a restful cuddle time with Grammie. She had her last swim lesson with Cailin tonight. She’s going back to college and will come home again in May. Astrid will hopefully do lessons again with her. But for now we’re going to try and swim most Fridays to keep up Astrids momentum! She’s doing a great job and is totally confident in the water by herself! Yay! 

She got to do the slide one time for her last lesson. She LOVED it!!

 

Chucks

Astrid had a good day at school! Mommy went with Grammie to pick her up. It was nice seeing how it all works. Daddy hurt himself bad on his bike this morning so mommy left work to make sure he was ok. Of course he wouldn’t go to the doctor but he’s definitely got a concussion, broken ribs and probably a broken toe or two. He’ll probably be ok. 

We got to see Indy, Wyatt and Jen at chuckee cheeses for dinner. They gave us Indy’s soccer stuff because Astyy Ty I’d will be starting soccer next week!! Yay! 

 

 

Sunday

 

Hot

It was a HOT Saturday!! Astrid played inside all day until the evening when she came out to play soccer for a few minutes. We all need days like those sometimes! Mommy met Eileen on Grand in Escondido to lister to an early release of Sara’s new album. It was pretty cool and was in a Newish record store.
