Lantern

Astrid had a good day. She likes after school care but acts like she doesn’t when I pick her up.. it’s a long day, she’s tired, hungry and overstimulated. But she’s doing so good with her new school, classroom, after school and everything. Mommy is proud of her!! 

 

On Fire

Camp Pendleton was on fire today. Mommy noticed it after 1:15 from her classroom and it kept getting worse. The dry, hot wind isn’t helping things. But the clear skies and ocean view sure are beautiful. Astrid was on fire at gymnastics. She loves it so much! 

 

Busy

We were all busy today! School, work, soccer, health challenge… mommy is working on it again at school and had to take a strength picture. We were in a hurry this morning but here it is in our back room that looks like it’s thrown up all our hobbies and personalities! 

 

Gymnastics Make-Up

Astrid had a great gymnastics make-up class today. There were only three girls in the class and she did great. She loves gymnastics! She was mad that she didn’t get to climb the rope more..on Thursdays it seems like she has more time to climb and jump in the pit. She loves the foam pit! 

She also had a great day at school and with Grammie. Mommy put a picture of tamales from her lunch. A students mom made them and they were so yummy! 

 

Homework

Back to routine. Astrid has been doing a great job with her homework every night. It’s all reading so

Money Pit and Fire

Today was a good restful, productive day. Astrid played a bunch, helped mommy by taking a nap when we picked up free patterns. After we did more chores and played. Before groceries we heard a lot of sirens. A house on cul de sac in front of us had a room on fire. Firefighters got it out quickly…but geez!!! Another house.. it’s very scary.  She helped get groceries then went to our favorite, the money pit! It was a nice, restful, productive day.

Daisy Troop

Astrid had a good day at school, with Grammie in the morning and at the after school program. We had a good time at her first Daisy troop meeting. Mommy is a co-leader. She’s learning what to do and is impressed with how much there is in Girl Scouts! We’ll get used to it and have lots of fun! Pics to come 

Throw Up

Astrid had a great day but she got a little crazy and mean when we got home. She was tired, hungry and a little out of sorts. She was better after about 20 minutes. But then right before bed she was rough housing with daddy on our bed…she threw up on the bed right after mommy told them to stop because she felt like that would happen. And it did!!

Soccer and Kitchen

Mommy had a meeting she had to stay at school for while daddy picked up Astrid and took her to soccer. She’s still slowly coming along with her soccer progress which is totally normal. She’s still slowly came home and helped daddy build a kitchen set they got on Amazon. Daddy is such a sucker. We got rid of her other one because it took up a lot of room and she rarely played with it. Let’s see how long this one lasts! Pictures to come when mommy doesnt get home late! 

 

Planning

Astrid had her first field trip to the school districts farm lab. She got to ride a school bus, learn about gardens, chickens and more! She had a good time! In the afternoon we met at the library, thank you Grammie for bringing her to mommy and we planned for the Girl Scout year. Astrid got to play with her good friend while mommy planned with her mom! Another boy from their class was also there! It was super cute to see them altogether. Kindergarten life is fun!
