Strides & 1st Birthdays

We had a busy day.. stroller strides with a paint your cookie craft and then a birthday party. Astrid didn’t realize the cookie was a cookie until mommy touched it to her lips. She really enjoyed half of it after that…haha. Our friend Ryan from strides turned 1 and we went to celebrate! The girls got to play for a bit at the water table and Astrid rode on the tricycle. She was giggling a ton because she thought the pedals turning was funny! The rest of the day we prepped for mommy’s challenge. Day 7 tomorrow! So far so good! 

 

Friday!!

It’s Friday!! Yay!! Eight more weeks until summer break…not that mommy is counting down or anything. Mommy met the crew at the school..she ran there when she got to Grammies. It was such a nice day! Astrid was ready for a cat nap! After her nap and mommy’s run…Astrid played with Claire while mommy got ready. Then home it was!! Astrid played with daddy, ate food, cuddled, and went down easily for the evening. Now it’s mommy’s turn!

 

In a Box Again

Don’t mind the clean laundry pile…it’s a work in progress that mommy doesn’t have much time for during the work week. But tonight when we got home, daddy put a box on mommy’s head. Astrid thought it was the funniest thing. So she kept trying to put it on mommy. It’s ok…it gave mommy a respite from the world for a few seconds.

We all had a good day!!

 

In a Box

Day 3 and mommy is still alive. Astrid brought this box in from Grammies garage and Grammie put her in it. She’s so cute! We had fun at home. She had her first accident in the bath tub and then on the bath mat which was tons of fun!! Mommy still remembers when Oliver had his first accident in the tub! Enjoy a picture of our meal tonight…it was good but mommy still isn’t used to eating much pasta even if it’s brown rice pasta! 

 

Wizard in Training

Mommy’s little wizard or witch in training had a good day with her favorite witches, Grammie and Claire. She also didn’t mind hanging out with those muggles; grandpa and Shane. 

Astrid shopped real quick for cheap sunglasses for mommy and of course shopping seems magical to her. Astrid also performed amazing tricks in the kitchen by staying occupied while mommy whipped up another clean dinner for day 2 of 30 day challenge. It’s getting easier! Must be due to having a magical witch in the house. 

 

Hats

Happy Monday! These two were off to grammie’s in their hats this morning. Astrid loves to look at herself in the mirror when she’s wearing her ball-cap! 

 

In and Out

Astrid spent the morning with daddy while mommy ran a half marathon around all of mission bay and Pacific Beach. Best course ever…then she was able to go to an estate sale in Pt. Loma since Astrid was napping. Mommy got lots of goodies for her Etsy shop for cheap and got to see how people live in Pr. Lona by the water. Estate sales are fascinating and sad at the same time. 

The rest of the day we played, had an impromptu play date with our almost 2 year old neighbor Caleigh, Astrid helped mommy prep for her 30 day challenge with Arbonne that starts Monday and then Astrid had her first taste of an in-and out cheeseburger. She liked it! Mommy did too… no French fries or cheese for 30 days…. 

We had a wonderful day!
