Weekend

We had a nice fulfilling  weekend. Mommy and Astrid ran their first 5k together on Saturday morning in old town Escondido. It was a beautiful morning. But before the race we dropped off Oliver early at the lake to fish. We watched a beautiful sunrise while he unloaded his boat. Astrid was fascinated by all of it and absolutely loved the swing at the park at the end. Mommy plans on running with Astrid at races for a bit until she gets to heavy. It was so much fun sharing that experience with her.

Saturday evening she got to play with her buddies, Ellie and Maddie. Astrid loves playtime with kids! Daddy loved playing with their grandpa Wayne while he nodded off on the couch. 

Sunday was full of a nice run/walk, catch up around the house, and errands. Mommy put Astrid in the cart for the first time…Grammie already has done it a few times. Astrid loved it!! So did a lot of customers and workers.

Sleep

Astrid falls asleep funny with Grammie sometimes. See second picture!! She usually sleeps on our afternoon runs which have become part of her sleep routine and mommy’s mental health break. Sleep and running are a perfect combo. Thank goodness it’s Friday!! 

 

Everything

 Little miss is so cute..she loved playing, sleeping, laughing, eating, drinking, cuddling, and kissing with all her caregivers today. She is just everything to mommy. 

Milestones

Astrid has been hitting a bunch of milestones this week: sitting up for long periods of time on her own; loving her cousin Claire so much;+ kissing loved ones…with her mouth open;+  pulling greenery shrubs and putting them in her mouth, then choking on them and scaring mommy and Auntie Jess pretty bad. Yes, that last one is a definite milestone. One we'll never forget. 

 

Bottles & Brothers

Astrid had a good day with Grammie…they went to Walmart together on an adventure. Grammie said Astrid wasn’t as excited about Walmart as she was about Target… mommy believes it …our main shopping outings the last 6 months have been to Target!!! Astrid has developed a taste for certain stores, uh oh! The rest of the evening was all about cleaning bottles,  big brother and taking him to his jj..then his playing with Astrid. She loves him!!

 

Monday

Astrid had a fun Monday! She got to see her daddy dressed up for the first time ever in his work clothes instead of his “bro” clothes. She got to hang out with her big brother and also Cousin  Claire at Grammies, and then watch the craziest Southern California lightning and thunderstorm. It was a good day. 

 

Walk

Astrid had a busy day! She’s enjoying mommy, mommy’s empty celery juice, and just being a busybody. She was sitting up funny in the stroller and playing. Maybe because the straps were loose?!? It was cute! 

 

Nana

Astrid had fun hanging with mommy and daddy all day. Then in the afternoon Nana was there when she woke up from a nap. Astrid had fun with her nana and her crazy daddy! 

 

Love Her

These pictures are all out of order. Thank goodness for Fridays and thank goodness for Grammies and smiles. But who cares for flat stroller tires.
